Thanks to all the participants, volunteers, and sponsors who contributed time, talent, merchandise, food and (of course) money to the May 4th event in Hopkins Park.
We had a glitch in the reporting of standings and winners of the 5K race and that is being corrected. Additional winners of age categories will be notified as soon as possible. If you are seeking information about the race results, check out www.racetime.info. The data will also be available through this website in the very near future.
Please pray for the children.

Looking forward to the walk this year. It will be a happy occasion as our daughter Betsy came thru her brain tumor surgery last May with flying colors. We count our blessings every day and can't speak highly enough about the staff (doctors/nurses/etc) at Children's!!

It's been about three weeks since Sam broke his ankle sliding into a base whiel playing with the Angels. His baseball season, as well as the upcoming basketball season are trashed. With the demise of the Cubs and Sam's seasons, it will make Spring training seem even further away.
Today, while brother Gabriel and his team, the Royals, plays for one of the four top places in their league, Sam will join his teammates (they finished in first place) as an observer and cheerleader as they open their won playoff schedule.
Good luck to the Royals and the Angels as they seek trophies for their great play.

Just a note to let all you followers of the website that on Saturday, August 18 Sam and his mom and dad will journey to Chicago Children's Memorial Hospital to take part in their annual Radiothon. Last year, Sam was one of the many patients, ex-patients, and parents or loved ones of patients who were interviewed on live radio (the Mix in Chicago, an FM station). As I recall, the effort last year raised about 2.5 million dollars for the hospital.
Please pray for the Radiothon and, of course, for all the children.
During the Radiothon, but in a separate presentation, Sam will present Tara Noronha, our awesome hospital foundation coordinator with this year's check for pediatric brain tumor research.
Check back after the 18th to see how much and to look at the photo of the presentation that I know Dan will take and post on the website.
